Saverne Quiche



Saverne Quiche


  • 9 inch frozen pie shell par baked, follow instructions on package
  • ½ cup ham cubed
  • 1 ½ cup Saverne Garden Fresh or Classic Sauerkraut drained
  • 1 cup white cheddar or gruyere cheese shredded
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk or half and half
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper


  • Preheat oven to 375, place par-baked pie shell on baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a bowl mix sauerkraut, ham and cheese and place in pie shell evenly
  • Combine eggs, cream, milk, salt and pepper and pour into pie shell to cover sauerkraut mixture
  • Bake for 45-1 hour until center is set and a knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.  Let stand for 10 minutes then serve!
